Video: When Rani Mukerji Addressed Aishwarya Rai As ‘Aishu Maa’ 20 Years Back
A video of Rani Mukerji telling Aishwarya Rai that they are going to be friends forever is doing the rounds on social media. In the video, the former calls Aishwarya, ‘Aishu Maa’...
Throwback to the time when Rani Mukerji and Aishwarya Rai
were very close friends, and then it was reported that equation soured when
Rani replaced Aishwarya Rai and signed Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chalte Chalte.
Recently, a video of Rani’s adorable message to her dear friend, Aishwarya Rai,
is doing the rounds on social media. The clipping is from Farooq Sheikh’s
popular chat show, Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai (1993).
In the video, Rani is heard saying, “Aishu Maa, you know
I love you. I am really sorry I couldn’t come for the show because I am unwell.
As you know, I am always unwell, I couldn’t make it to Delhi. Just to let you
know that I love you, you mean a lot to me. I just love you Aishu Maa. I just
want to say one thing that we are going to be friends forever. I love you.”
Aishwarya and Rani’s fallout goes back to the time when
latter expressed her feeling about when she was not invited to Abhishek
Bachchan and Aishwarya’s wedding. You may recall, Rani who was very close to
Bachchan’s, was also linked to AB while shooting Bunty Aur Babli (2005) and
Yuva (2004). However, with time things eased out. In fact, Rani had visited
Aishwarya after her father’s death in March 2017.
Earlier this month, we brought you another throwback
video of Aishwarya. In that 1998 clip from an episode of Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai,
the show’s host, late actor Farooq Sheikh, had asked Aishwarya to sing a few
lines when her co-actor Chandrachur Singh told the audience that she has a
hidden talent.
On the work front, Aishwarya is currently gearing up for
Fanney Khan, whose trailer was released online a few days back.
